Armitt Museum and Library Commission March 2016

cropped-img_1602.jpgImages from recently completed commission to create a design for the new Family Learning Area within the Armitt Museum. Armitt is the name of three talented and highly educated sisters, originally from Manchester who moved to the Lake District in the late 19th century. They established a social circle which included the Rawnsleys, John Ruskin and Charlotte Mason. They established the Armitt Library in 1912.

The design was inspired by Lake District mountains, paths and flora.
